SPECT

Single Photon emission computed tomography, a form of nuclear medicine imaging which allows tracking a radioisotope which is injected into the bloodstream. Different isotopes are used which will attach to different tissue types allowing diagnostic imaging. SPECT is like Gamma camera technology but produces 3d image versus single plane image of Gamma camera.
